I had the best time taking preschool graduation photos last week !
I am just now recovering from the busy busy weekend, but I wanted to share!
I was really happy to have the opportunity to do this photo shoot. It was really important to me: It was my old church’s preschool. I spent a lot of time thinking over the setup and backdrop. I considered the library option, as well as a few other backdrops; But none of them stood out. Being that this preschool is in a church, I wanted to do something to make the portraits memorable and significant in that respect. I went down to the old sanctuary, because I remembered the old stained glass windows. They had also remodeled it with some wainscoting. I really liked the windows, but I had to figure out the challenge: they were about 4 ft off the ground. Easy enough solution, I got a box for the kids to stand on.
I took the pictures over 2 days each morning. The morning light was nice, and the second day, it happened to be a bit dark and cloudy. It actually gave the windows a nice dark color, which I really liked.
Here’s 2 of my favorites:
